Port Health Charges 2010 - revised (increased) rates to apply from 1st January 2010 will be published on our downloads page as they become available.

December 2009 Freight Rates - remain high with further increases threatened. After record lows in the spring and early summer,
freight rates have increased dramatically with Lines radically reducing
capacity by scrapping tonnage / combining services, rolling containers
and (super) slow steaming. It will hardly cheer you up to know that Airfreight is even worse.

Services & information
Ships Agency is attended on a country-wide basis. Our project cargo work covers hazardous goods including explosives, boats, cranes and planes, as well as the more bizarre - such as 2 white rhino's delivered alive and very much kicking!.
We charter ships and operate Warehousing and a Remote Transit Shed (RTS) within the Port of Felixstowe.
The company holds a UK Home Office Section 5 licence for the legal handling of certain kinds of arms and ammunition and is a member of the Explosives Industry Group of the CBI.
For Customs Clearance we have direct computer links with Felixstowe, Tilbury, Thamesport, Southampton and Liverpool. We are closely involved with Port Health and HM Customs issues including the New Export System (NES), CAP entries and the National Computerised Transit System (NCTS).
