Established in 1979 by Peter Grange and John Munnings, Grange Shipping Limited is now led by John Grange ably assisted by Gary Stock (Director), Kevin Jackson (Customs Manager) and Wendy Pearson (European Road Freight & Sales Co-ordinator).

Our original agency business into Felixstowe Dock Basin with forest products was supplemented by Scandinavian trailers and refrigerated cargoes.

From there we developed our specialist roles in explosives, dangerous goods and military movements.

Ordnance House Cannon

In the 90’s we developed a strong US NVOCC service moving upwards of 200 TEU per month out of the North West of the UK.

During 2004-2008 we invested heavily in our part ownership of a Military Logistics Company.

Originally based in Trelawney House, Felixstowe we moved to our own freehold property in Schneider Close, then onto our current premises Ordnance House in 2003.

Ordnance House

Today we are heavily involved in the movement of a wide range of cargoes – paper, steel, tea, explosives, fresh and frozen products as well as continuing to develop ships agency, chartering and project cargo management.

The company was born into recession and thrived. Financially strong, we see the current economic situation not only as a time of caution but as an opportunity for a well run company to grow and prosper.
