The Port of Felixstowe Customs Clearance.
The Port of Felixstowe is Britain’s biggest and busiest container port, and one of the largest in Europe.
The port handles more than 3.7 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) and welcomes approx 3,000 ships each year, including the largest container vessels afloat today – crucially, the port provides some of the deepest water close to the open sea of any European port. Around 33 shipping lines operate from Felixstowe, offering approximately 90 services to and from 365 ports around the world.
Together with its unrivalled rail and road links connecting the port to distribution hubs in the Midlands and elsewhere in the UK, Felixstowe plays a pivotal role in keeping the UK’s trade moving, and delivers real benefits to customers, the community and the industry.
Grange Shipping has been providing Customs clearance services at the Port of Felixstowe since the company was established in 1979.
We have direct EDI links with the port via Destin8 (the local Port Community System) and Customs via CHIEF. We're registered to complete Port Health and HMI/FERA (DEFRA) declarations online and our highly experienced team have worked closely with fresh produce and frozen foods importers since the company's inception.
We're also AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) approved at the highest level by HMRC and Home Office Section 5 licence holders.
Whatever your cargo, our experienced Customs team can help guide you through the necessary declarations for import, export or transhipment.
