At Grange Shipping we have a long tradition in handling project cargo movements, understanding the special requirements that need careful consideration during the process.
We represent and have close relationships with a number of prominent project cargo vessel operators, which gives us the ability to offer a variety of options to cargo owners/operators, subject to cargo type and destination.
Our working relationship with all the UK ports allows us to explore the best alternatives for getting the cargo to/from UK, the location best suited and most feasible to the projects requirements, combined with vessel accessibility.
Whilst many of our major projects have been handled by geared vessels with substantial heavy lift capacity, we also have a network of mobile crane providers who can offer services to non-geared vessels. Our network also extends to the heavy haulage market, where again we have strong connections to both regional and national hauliers providing the exacting detailed requirements and permits needed to move the cargo between port and ultimate place of delivery/collection.
Grange Shipping were a prominent partner in moving the British and Dutch armies to Afghanistan, the largest logistics project ever undertaken from the UK. We also handled a sizeable project in moving the buoyancy devices required for the Turkey/Cyprus freshwater pipeline. Other recent projects include off-shore rig equipment, wind turbines, generators, luxury yachts and locomotives.
