Customs Clearance / Customs Agent / Customs Broker Tilbury

London Container Terminal Tilbury Customs Clearance / Customs Agent / Customs Broker

The Northfleet Hope Berth was built in 1978 and was the first purpose-built container terminal to be established in the UK. The terminal was initially designed to handle the large volume of blown-air reefer containers common to the Australian and New Zealand trade, and was equipped to handle 1000-plus containers at sub-zero temperatures. Nowadays large modern ships with integral reefer plugs have replaced the older blown-air ships and the terminal has the capacity to handle up to 1400 40 ft. high cube containers.

London Container Terminal is now firmly established as a leading purpose-built container terminal. Operations have increased in size in terms of volume, square footage and scale of activities, enabling it to compete successfully in a highly competitive market place and remain the first choice for some of the world’s leading container lines.

Grange Shipping provides Customs clearance services at London Container Terminal (Tilbury) utilising direct EDI links with the port (via CNS Compass, the local port community system) and our link with CHIEF (Customs' computer system in the UK).

We work closely with a number of fresh produce and frozen foods importers in the UK and are registered to submit declarations to the DEFRA PEACH system and Port Health's IPAFFS system.

We're also AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) approved at the highest level by HMRC and Home Office Section 5 licence holders.

We complete customs declarations for all cargoes whether import, export or transhipment and are proud to say we have served our customers' clearance requirements in Tilbury via direct computer links since the turn of the century.
